Carnage continues in the Fairyhouse ring It was a case of 3-0 to the punters against the bookmakers after the opening three races at Fairyhouse as Never Said That proved another popular order in the Next Racing At Fairyhouse May 28th Handicap Hurdle. Well-backed this morning from 4/1 into 5/2 and eventually sent off the 2/1 favourite, the seven-year-old gelding appreciated every yard of this three-mile trip to the delight of punters who were earlier on target with well-backed favourites To Choose and Bog War. The son of Gold Well was recording his third handicap hurdle victory of the season following previous wins at Tramore and Down Royal. Ger Fox produced his mount to challenge Some Drama at the final flight, and he kept on best on the run-in to score by three and a quarter lengths. Oscar Fiain got going a bit too late but stayed on well in the closing stages to take third. Winning trainer Edward Cawley said, "It didn't appear the greatest of contests. It was hard work as they went off at a good pace and he struggled to lie up. "He's no flying machine! They came back to him." (GC & AM)
