The Gordon Elliott-trained Teahupoo will bid to win the Grade 1 Bar One Racing Hatton's Grace Hurdle at this weekend’s Fairyhouse Winter Festival for a third consecutive year.
One horse that did win the Hatton's Grace three times was the great Limestone Lad (1999, 2001 and 2002) trained by James Bowe and the man who rode him, Paul Carberry, said he was an incredible horse to be involved with.
He said: "He was unbelievable. He was very honest, very good jumper. His heart was so big, he would gallop all day and he'd just run his rivals into the ground most of the time.
"I couldn't believe that I had actually won 10 on him - he ran away with me a good few times! I don't think they worked him at home, they just ran him every week just to keep him fit to do that!
"You'd think it would be impossible to do, but he was able to do it.
"A very good horse, a brilliant horse to be associated with.
"Different class."
