Caherdaniel gives Harringtons a double Caherdaniel pounced late to land a double for Jessica Harrington and her daughter Kate at Cork this afternoon. Pocketfullofdreams looked set to score from the front when getting her rivals at work passing the two pole in the ten furlong contest. Colm O'Donoghue conjured a strong late surge from Caherdaniel, however, and he pipped the front-runner close home to record a neck success. The 5/1 winner had been backed from 12/1 this morning. The Fastnet Rock colt was mid-division in a Naas maiden on his sole outing last year. Kate Harrington who was welcoming the second winner in her own colours today, after the earlier success of Lady Derrynane, said:- "That's my first double as an owner so it's great! "He had a lovely debut run last year but was a big weak horse. He was since gelded and did very well over the winter - it has made a man of him! "The more work we have been doing, he has been thriving and he'll definitely come on from that. I'll chat with mum and see where we go next but he is also for sale." (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
