Owner Keith Brown is upbeat about the chances of Dream Walker winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Ahonoora' Handicap for a third year on the spin at Galway on Sunday.
The nine-year-old grey has twice delivered on the big occasion and will again be ridden by Chris Hayes in his quest for a memorable hat-trick.
Dream Walker is, however, now in the care of Co Kildare handler Jarlath Fahey, having previously spent most of his career with Brian Ellison.
The gelded son of Gold Away will be making a quick turnaround as he was an eyecatching fifth behind Riven Light in the Colm Quinn BMW Mile at Galway on Tuesday.
“We’re hopeful he can do it,” said Brown.
“He ran a brilliant race on Tuesday, but he was bumped at the bottom of the hill and then picked up again.
“It was just one of those things, really. Chris got off him and said that he felt as good as ever and that he would win on Sunday. There’s nothing much you add to that, really.
“Jarlath has done a really good job with him and looks to have him in great form.
“He’s taken Tuesday’s race really well and the soft ground looks absolutely perfect for him.
“There are a lot of runners, so we are just keeping our fingers crossed for a bit of luck, which he didn’t get on Tuesday.”
Ellison saddles Baraweez who was unplaced in the BMW Mile, while Safe Voyage represents fellow North Yorkshire trainer John Quinn.
British interest is also spiked by the presence of the Jedd O’Keeffe-trained Shared Equity David Baron’s Danielsflyer and Theodorico from David Loughane’s yard.
Aidan O’Brien is two-handed with Bond Street and Full Moon with Spanish Tenor at the head of the weights for the Tim Doyle operation.
