Bowe hits Thurles target with Coolcashin Co Kilkenny trainer Michael Bowe, of Limestone Lad and Solerina fame, saddled his Coolcashin to win the Glen Chase at Thurles today, justifying 10/11 favouritism, to win by a neck. Ridden by Tom Doyle, the son of Taipan raced prominently throughout but needed a strong drive from Doyle to eventually get his head in front on the run-in, to defeat Faltering Fullback. Afterwards Bowe reported “I'm delighted to get a win at my local track – I'm only 20 minutes from Thurles.” He added “Coolcashin is a stone better on better ground and hated that ground today. Tom gave him a super ride and while there's a three miles chase at Leopardtown and a 2m3f chase at Limerick over Christmas, he is not certain to run in either and may wait until after Christmas to run next.”
