Bog and Flem set to clash at Naas Racegoers at Naas on Sunday look to be in for a real treat with Bog Warrior and Flemenstar set to clash in the Grade 3 Naas Directors Plate Novice Chase. The pair are among 11 entries for the two and a half mile event, and both were confirmed intended runners earlier this week with the provisional going of soft (yielding to soft in places) suiting both of these exciting novices. The pair were separated by seven and a half lengths when Bog Warrior made all at Navan back in November but they have both scored since in Grade 1 company. Bog Warrior routed his rivals the following month in the Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse, while Flemenstar has since completed a hat-trick with a very impressive 19 lengths success last time in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase at Leopardstown. Flemenstar's regular partner Andrew Lynch is looking forward to the clash saying, "He was impressive at Leopardstown. He had a slight cough shortly after that but is back in good form now. "He's fairly straight forward, he travels and jumps. There is probably not alot between himself and Bog Warrior. I'd like to think he's improved since he was beaten by Bog Warrior at Navan."
