Bobbina enjoys herself at Limerick After Big Vincey disappointed in the first race, Brian Hamilton and Declan Lavery got back on track when Bobbina easily won the two miles three mares hurdle at Limerick. With the two market leaders – Upsie and Jennies Jewel – withdrawn due to the ever drying ground, Bobbina took full advantage in the five-runner contest. She tracked Dazzling Susie and Michael Butler into the home straight before hitting the front at the second last. From there she won as she pleased by five lengths at 9/4. Dazzling Susie, the 6/4 favourite, fended off Thynetocatcher and Davy Russell for second. Trainer Brian Hamilton made the long journey down from Co Down and he said: “Thankfully we knew she would handle the better ground. “She has a good pedigree and her full sister Quiet Thought won this race two years ago. We’ll cover her now and keep her racing over the summer.” Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
