Cootamundra gave John Berry and Robbie Moran a huge day with success in the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase at Navan.
The sweet-travelling Broken Hearted gelding picked a good day to get off the mark over fences and a good jump at the last helped the ten times previously tried over the big ones ten-year-old.
A result for the bookmakers, the 25/1 chance then clung on by half a length from the well-backed local hope Mad Brian
Top-weight Colbert Station ran a huge race to be third whilst Living Next Door had place claims when coming down at the last.
Successful owners, the Turbine Syndicate are from Duncormick in County Wexford. Joe Moran (uncle to winning rider), Fran Whelan and Davy Roe (golfing buddies) make up the syndicate.
Berry said: "Everything happened well for him today. He always travels but doesn't find much off the bridle.
"The ground was a bit better today and that probably helped. He was always going to win a big one one day and we can look at all the good staying handicaps now.
"He just needs to land there on the line but in fairness to him he's earned plenty of place money before.
"It wasn't until he passed the line today that I was happy!
"Joe (Moran) drove the lorry for us for years and he has a share in him. Fran Whelan has a steel company in Duncormick and Davy Roe is a vegetable man down around that part of the country.
"There'll be celebrations now for couple days I'd say!" (AM & EM)
