Berry completes 224/1 double Fran Berry grabbed a quick double at Cork this evening when Lombrici flew home late on to take the first division of the seven furlong handicap. Paul Deegan's charge swooped on the outer inside the final furlong to just deny Secret Hero by a short-head in the dying strides. The runner-up had been sent off 7/4 favourite to defy a 5lb penalty for his success at Bellewstown last week. Berry was completing a big priced brace, as both his winners went off 14/1, and the double paid 224/1. "She liked that fast ground. I just got the impression she was dossing a bit when she got to the front," sais Berry. "They told me that she worked very well the other day and her run over five furlongs last time really sharpened her up. "It was an important winning bracket for her." Berry had also taken the preceding race on Jills Ballet for Prunella Dobbs. Gary Carson
