Beef hot favourite as seven declared for Durkan

Beef Or Salmon is a solid evens favourite for the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown on Sunday after seven were declared for the Grade 1 event.

As expected the Jonjo O´Neill-trained Keen Leader is an absentee, but Native Upmanship will bid for his third win under Conor O´Dwyer in this two and a half miles race while Martin Pipe is represented by Tiutchev (Tony McCoy).

Cashmans - 1/1 Beef Or Salmon, 5/2 Native Upmanship, 9/2 Tiutchev, 12 Le Coudray, Rince Ri, 25 Knife Edge, 40 Arctic Copper.

Paddy Power - 1/1 Beef Or Salmon, 100/30 Native Upmanship, 7/2 Tiutchev, 12 Le Coudray, Rince Ri, 20 Arctic Copper, 33 Knife Edge.

The seven race card at Punchestown on Sunday gets underway at 12.35, and the two and a half miles maiden hurdle is also noteworthy as useful bumper performer Dizzy´s Dream clashes with high-class Flat recruit Sadlers Wings.

The William Hill Tingle Creek Chase is the main event tomorrow at Sandown, and Moscow Flyer faces six rivals including a three-pronged challenge by the Paul Nicholls yard. Ruby Walsh has elected to ride last season´s Arkle Trophy winner Azertyuiop.
