Beauty Crescent has turned a corner since being gelded and fitted with blinkers and landed the Ballyhane Blenheim Stakes in good style.

The Navan maiden winner was covered up on the inside by Colin Keane before moving out for racing room in the straight. He made headway to challenge Ocean Jewel inside the final furlong and raced away to beat that rival by two and a quarter lengths. English raider Lady Bullet was a further length and a half away in third.

Winning trainer Ger Lyons said: “That was lovely. Colin said he's improving, he's manly and he loved that.

“We've had to think outside the box with him, we put the blinkers on him and he ran free to post with him in the Curragh so they are walking him down now and looking after him.

“He said he's that relaxed and he loves that, all the trouble. He said he'll get further so the future is bright.

“It's all about Mr Kwok in Hong Kong and I can only imagine that is where he is going to end up.”
