Bear Faced raid carried off Seven to four chance Bear Faced upstaged 8/15 favourite Clear Cut in the four-runner Big Bad Bob Race at Dundalk. Sir Mark Prescott trains the Declan McDonogh-ridden Bear Faced, and he headed the front-running Helvic two furlongs out. From there Clear Cut couldn't find a way past and at the line Bear Faced had two and a quarter lengths in hand. "He picked up well. Sir Mark said that he led the last time and Luke Morris thought that he didn't really like it," said McDonogh. "I was hoping to get a lead tonight and it worked out ideal. When I asked him to quicken up he quickened up well and put the race to bed. "He felt like a horse that might improve a little bit. He's a big tank of a horse." (GC & EM)
