Harry's Bar made a successful return on home-soil when running a convincing winner of the opening five-furlong handicap at Dundalk.
The Ado McGuinness-trained gelding had spent January and February in Dubai where he finished mid-division on all of his four starts.
He was sent off a solid 3/1 shot on his return to Dundalk where he had been successful three times previously.
There were almost seven horses in a line as Cian MacRedmond produced his mount to challenge over a furlong from home.
Harry's Bar edged ahead inside the final furlong and kept on well for a half length success over the fast-finishing Ajax Tavern
Assistant trainer Stephen Thorne said: "He gave him a great ride. I think that's Cian's first one for the year but we have held back his claim with the turf in mind. He's a very good rider and we are blessed to have him.
"This horse is just off the plane from Dubai and had a luckless trip out there but he is an all-weather specialist. Ado's daughter has been looking after him since he came home and keeping him fresh. She has done a great job with him.
"We've got the conditions race at Newcastle on Good Friday as the main plan.
"It is a big week for us - we have A Case Of You in the Al Quoz (at Meydan) on Saturday and another 16 runners over the weekend as well.
"A Case Of You is in good nick, Ronan (Whelan) gave him a squeeze there yesterday morning and was delighted with him."
