Aurora Moon put her rivals to the sword in devastating fashion in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Tipperary.
She was soon sent into the lead by Leigh Roche and tanked along entering the straight. Her rivals were all hard at work on the yielding to soft ground as she skipped clear a furlong and a half out.
The daughter of Dragon Pulse sluiced home by six and a half lengths to the joy of those who backed her down from 20/1 to 12/1. Harbour Dance (6/1) clung on to second by a head from Dundory at 66/1.
Trainer Michael O'Callaghan said: "I'm delighted and we always thought she was a nice filly with plenty of scope. We didn't run her as a two year old because she has so much scope, she is 16.2hh.
"She completely fluffed her lines at Leopardstown and was very green and at Gowran she did a little bit too much with Leigh early and got a little tired. It has obviously left her just right and the ground was no issue and I'd say she is versatile in that regard.
"A mile would be no problem to her and is a nice filly and we'll see what the handicapper does and go from there."
