Normal bumper service was continued at Limerick today with a Willie Mullins trained newcomer, Regal Athlete winning the Supermacs Dooradoyle Bumper, under the trainer's son Patrick Mullins.
Regal Athlete's win was also completing a double for trainer Mullins, who earlier recorded a win with Snowy Morning
Mullins Snr was not present but Patrick Mullins did state "Regal Athlete was very green and will come on a lot from the run - he is a very nice horse."
Regal Athlete is an own-brother to Arkle Chase winner Tiutchev and a half brother to Grade 1 winner Rare Bob, while the win was Patrick Mullins' 98th career winner.
