Jessica Harrington will run Ashdale Bob against Honeysuckle in Sunday’s Grade 1 Hattons Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse. The trainer knows he is up against it, but feel he deserves to take his chance.
She also urged the racing public to come and see the dual champion hurdler Honeysuckle and Rachael Blackmore when the opportunity presents itself.
"Yes we are, we are going to take on Honeysuckle on Sunday," the trainer said.
"Look, he's a proper graded horse and one day one of those races will fall his way.
"He's in great form and came out of the race very, very well. He did make a bad mistake at the third last the last time and, hopefully if he puts in a clear round of jumping, I'm not saying he will put it up to Honeysuckle, but it would be nice to finish second to her.
"Honeysuckle definitely is a legend in our lifetime and people should go out and watch these horses race in the flesh."
