Annie Power done what was expected of her in the two runner bumper at Listowel as she scored on her debut for Willie Mullins (double for him after earlier scoring with Back In Focus .
Previously owned by Eamon Cleary and trained by Jim Bolger, the daughter of Shirocco was also having her first start for her new owners the Ricci's.
She won on her two outings for Bolger at Galway and Wexford and she maintained her 100% record today as she made all and went clear from over four furlongs out to record an easy sixty one length success at the odds of 1/10 favourite.
Cork bumper winner Vintage Supreme for John Long and Mikey O’Connor was totally outclassed by the winner and was sent off at the odds of 6/1.
Willie Mullins said afterwards: "I was very taken with her on her two wins and I was delighted to get her.
"Credit has to go to Jim Bolger as we only have her the last few days. She is a big mare and will jump a hurdle and maybe even a fence in time.
"She will have a break now and come back for a novice hurdle. We will see how she comes out of this first.
"She looks every bit as good as we thought. There is a nice programme of races for mares and she has plenty of size and scope about her."
Credit goes to Mikey O’Connor for his honesty in reminding Patrick Mullins to weigh-in. Mullins was walking in the door of the jockeys room when O’Connor shouted “Patrick, don’t forget to weigh-in!”
Of course Mullins had already weighed-in, in the parade ring beforehand unbeknownst to O’Connor.
