Cheltenham Festival winner Angels Dawn is reported in good form by trainer Sam Curling and is likely to reappear soon over hurdles before aiming at Gowran Park’s Thyestes Chase in January.

The daughter of Yeats took really well to fences last term winning twice notably the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Handicap Chase when getting the better of well-backed favourite Stumptown in an exciting finish.

“She was at home in Alfie(Sweetnam)’s for the summer and is back and going really well now. As soon as we get soft ground she'll start and she'll run in a couple of hurdle races as she has a favourable hurdles rating of 116.

"There is a race in Clonmel in three weeks' time and we're aiming at the Thyestes - that'll be her first main race,” said Curling.

The Cashel trainer hasn’t ruled out a return to the Cheltenham Festival if conditions are suitable adding: "I won't over-race her as she'll be covered in the spring and we'll see about trying for Cheltenham again as the ground will have to be really soft.

“She has done it once so we'll see."
