Wachman, earlier successful with Hurricane Volta was absent but Berry, who steered An Fear Ciuin to his eight and a half lengths win, later stated “he's very lazy and he just goes through the motions but actually this track suited him as it kept him interested with the twists and turns.
“He took on Peter Fahey’s horse (eventual third Asknotwhat from a good bit out but in fairness when he went by him, he stayed going very well. He was entitled to win off his rating."
