The in-form partnership of Daniel Miley (Sky Captain has represented the yard well lately) and Alain Cawley (won on Caola Mann at Limerick yesterday) combined with Afterburn (14s in the morning into 10s) who led before the straight before going on to easily take the D & S Tarmac Handicap Hurdle by six lengths, from favourite, Ballysassian
Co. Wicklow-based Miley commented: "She was my first winner when she won at Cork in April 2007. She got injured that day so it is great to have her back and get another win out of her. We had blinkers on her the last day which may have driven her mad. We have no plans."
Afterburn, a ten-year-old mare, was following up the win half-an-hour before of Cailin Alainn the same age, who beat the geldings in the Kinloch Brae. (EM)
