Frankly All Talk (5/1 jt fav) hit the front after the last in the Join The Best Club In Town Handicap Chase and stayed on well to score by a length and three quarters.
Long-time leader Biddy The Boss (16/1) gave her all and just hung on for second by a nose from Carrignagapple (13/2), with the other 5/1 joint-favourite Baily Gorse in fourth.
Trained in Co. Armagh by Keith Watson, the six-year-old gelding by Fracas won a novice chase at Clonmel in the spring and had just been headed when coming down at this track on his previous start in the race won by Rocky’s Silver.
Up in trip to nearly 3m2f today, 7lbs claimer Paddy O’Hanlon gave him a more patient steer on this occasion and his mount saw the trip out well.
“It was in the balance the last time but that has made up for it, said assistant trainer (and son of winning trainer Keith) Marshall Watson.
"I thought it was coming back to the well a bit soon as it was only 12 days ago.
“We’ll probably go on now to Leopardstown over Christmas. We think he’s a nice horse and the long term plan could be something like an Ulster National.
“He’s still 103 over hurdles so that is an option as well.
“There was nothing wrong with him last year. We just gave him a long break as he’s such a big horse, he’s 17.2, and we thought we’d give him a bit of time. Thankfully it’s paid off.”
