Accomplished got off the mark on her fifth start, as she claimed the Fermoy Maiden under Billy Lee for Ken Condon.
A half-sister to 2007 Epsom Derby winner Authorized, she went down by just a neck on her most recent start at Gowran and was expected to go a place better this afternoon.
Sent off the 4/6 market leader, the Mastercraftsman bay made virtually all in the colours of Gary Hadden & Avalon Carli.
Ridden and strongly pressed by Tango Flare over a furlong out, she gained the upper hand inside the final 150 yards, going on to score by two-and-a-quarter lengths.
.Tango Flare (10/3) had to settle for second under Luke McAteer for Pat Foley, while Foley also saddled the third horse home, newcomer Thefullbackline (18/1).
"She has a lovely pedigree and is by a nice sire in Mastercraftsman," Lee said.
"She has been improving from all her runs, it was a good run at Gowran the last day and this was a good opportunity to get a win on the board.
"She is a bit funny, has her own way of going about things and was just doing enough.
"We thought because of her pedigree she wanted a trip but she sharpened up through the year and I'd say her limit is 1m 2f. There probably isn't a whole lot of time between now and the end of the season so I'd imagine connections might try and find a blacktype race for her."
STEWARDS REPORTS
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Muhtady ridden by K.J. Leonard, and Encore De Mer ridden by D.P. McDonogh where it appeared that Encore De Mer made contact with Muhtady. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.J. Leonard, stated that he met with slight interference from his inner. D.P. McDonogh, stated that his mount was a difficult ride, ran very green throughout and over exaggerated a move to his left when avoiding heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action on this occasion other than to advise D.P. McDonogh to ride with more awareness in future.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Encore De Mer trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls and ducked left in the closing stages.
