Absolutlyfantastic gets his compensation Absolutlyfantastic delivered on his second attempt at justifying favouritism this week at Killarney, winning the €540 Average Tote Placepot Dividend Maiden for trainer Henry De Bromhead and jockey Bill Lee. Absolutlyfantastic was a costly failure for punters on Monday having finished second in a handicap chase when heavily supported (15/8 into 11/10f) but made no mistake today winning by a neck from Beyond Berlin. Afterwards De Bromhead, having his second winner of the Festival, stated “he ran a blinder on Monday but just met a better-off horse. This makes up for Monday though and he was good there. Billy (Lee) was super on him and it was a confident ride; he was also delighted with the horse. “The key to his is the (fast) ground, he has plenty of pace and can mix between Flat, hurdling and chasing now.” By Thomas Weekes
