Absolute Notions made it two from two in the O'Connor Heating & Plumbing Supporting Longford GAA Maiden Hurdle.
An impressive winner of the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Festival here in April, the Milan gelding was since purchased by Robcour.
Making his debut over flights this afternoon, the Gordon Elliott-trained four-year-old was expected to oblige and was sent off the 11/8 favourite.
Settled in second by Jack Kennedy, the bay victor wasn't fluent at the fourth last but improved into a share of the lead after two out.
Soon pushed along and briefly headed, he battled back gamely to regain the lead on the run to the last and kept on well from there, going on to score by a cosy three-and-three-parts of a length.
.Deep Cave (9/4), who led briefly on the approach to the last, ultimately had to settle for second under Davy Russell, while Joshua Des Flos (17/2) was another half-a-length away in third.
The front three went 17-lengths clear of Benaud in fourth.
"Jack said he had a bit of a blow at the second last and he showed a very good attitude from the last to the line. I was happy with him," Elliott revealed.
"He doesn't show a thing at home, he's very laid-back. When you take him away he shows a little bit more but not much.
"Looking at that I'd say that distance is a bare minimum. I'd imagine the further he goes the better he goes."
