A win for Flemensfirth newcomer Relegate ensured a treble for Willie Mullins, and a double for his son Patrick, in the concluding David Trundley Artist At Punchestown Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares INH Flat Race.
Point-to-point winner Danse Idol stuck to her task well in the straight for second place, but 13/8 favourite Relegate was too good, prevailing by a length and three parts.
Like Tony Mullins' earlier winner, Glencairn View Relegate was also bred by the McCarthys, at the Beeches Stud in County Waterford. The stallion Flemensfirth actually had four winners on the day - Invitation Only Glencairn View, Impact Factor and Relegate.
On a good day for the Mullins family, Willie's earlier winners were Invitation Only (David Mullins up) and Getabird (Patrick Mullins in the saddle).
"She's a nice staying mare. She's very laid back," reported Willie Mullins.
"I might have another go at a bumper with her but I'll have a chat with the owner and maybe we'll go off jumping. I'm not sure what I want to do with her.
"It's grand to get her bumper out of the way. She gallops and stays and the fact that she's so laid back means she's going to get a much longer trip.
"It's a first win for a new owner, Paul McKeon."
