Strength in numbers there may be, but even so Gordon Elliott's domination of Troytown day at Navan is extraordinary. He sent out a one three in the opener, the winner of the second, and a one two four in race three. The Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Bryan Cooper-ridden Bull Ride led them home in the Davis Civil Engineering Handicap Hurdle.
Gigginstown and Cooper were doubling up after the win of Death Duty half-an-hour earlier.
Bull Ride held on by a nose from stable companion Dawerann as Robert Tyner's Concordin took the third spot, two and a quarter lengths back. Orchard Road (Elliott and Ruby Walsh) was a length off that one in fourth.
"He doesn't show anything at home. We'll keep him to his own grade and he'll be okay," said Elliott.
