There will be the exact same number of fixtures next year as this, with 304 in total.
HRI have tinkered with several dates, the most significant is the proposal for an extra four Saturday evening meetings bringing the total to eight.
July?s two clash-Saturday evenings remain the same with the additonal meetings set to take place on three dates in May and June.
All three additional dates are to be followed by racing on the Sunday. Kilbeggan on a Saturday evening in May (8th) is to be followed by an afternoon fixture in Killarney. Later the same month (29th) Limerick and Wexford are set to share the Saturday with Limerick on again the following day.
In June Cork is earmarked for the evening of Saturday 12th with afternoon meetings the following day at both Cork and Roscommon.
HRI have set up a sub-committee that will consult with interested parties between now and December before any final decision on the Saturday evenings is made.
Some other changes to note include the Irish Oaks- to be run one week later on Sunday July 18th.
Listowel?s September festival will also be one week later than 2003- Monday 20th to Sunday 26th.
The Morris Oil Chase fixture at Clonmel will switch from Sunday 21st to Thursday 18th November.
