David Casey followed up his win on Louisville Lip in the 1.35 when completing a 93 and a half to one double over an hour later on the Charles O'Brien trained Concrete And Clay in the Leugh Handicap Hurdle at Thurles.
In what was a good race for the grade (81-116), the victorious chestnut son of Medicean comfortably came out best in a three horse war up the straight, getting the better of Stony Grey Soil from the last by a length and three parts. The pair left Tadhg ten lengths further back in third.
Concrete And Clay is owned by the Painestown Syndicate and his trainer Charles O'Brien said: "He deserved that. He's an honest old devil and he always tries his best.
"He's got more metal in his front legs than the six million dollar man! He'll go for something similar now."
