On start number fifteen Duchessofflorence shed her maiden tag to bring up a Dundalk double for Michael Halford and Shane Foley in division one of the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap.
Duchessofflorence was making her second visit to Dundalk, and in this extended mile and a quarter event she eventually got the better of a great battle with Sixtyfiveroses edging the verdict by half a length.
Halford and Foley had half-an-hour earlier taken the feature with Paul Rooney's Chestnut Fire
"I didn't think it would take that long to win with her," acknowledged Halford.
He added: "She loved the surface, and Shane gave her a good ride. She is a big weak filly and had a few little niggly things wrong with her but got it together tonight."
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Jessamine trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
G.P. Halpin, rider of Jessamine trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tired very quickly.
