Sabrina Fairchild followed up on a course and distance success from nine days ago to complete a double for Sarah Lynam and Shane Crosse in the finale on the all-weather this evening, the Floodlit Friday Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap.
The wins of Sabrina Fairchild and Tyrconnell earlier, were simply maintaining an exceptional run of form for the Garrettstown House handler this winter.
Sabrina Fairchild and Tyrconnell are both owned by Lynam’s father, Eddie, and the pair scored convincingly.
Winner of this nightcap, the 9/4 market-leader raced in the rear of mid-division before making headway travelling well two furlongs out.
Soon pushed along she led under a furlong out. Ridden and staying on well inside the final furlong Sabrina Fairchild easily won by three lengths from Fox Fearless
“That was super. She had such hard luck last year and at least she's still enjoying her racing,” said the successful trainer in the aftermath.
“She won a bit better again today so that was great. I was worried about running her back that soon but she was bucking and kicking during the week.
“That'll keep Dad happy as he owned those two.”
On the form of her horses she added:- “Long may it continue. I'm scared to comment on it in case I jinx them. They are going well and once they are happy and well we'll keep them running.”
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Lady Andaz trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got carried left up the straight.
