He finished second to subsequent Epsom Derby hero City Of Troy on his sole start as a juvenile, again filling the runner-up spot on his return to action last month. The Gleneagles chestnut should come on plenty for that recent effort, where he finished two-and-a-quarter lengths in front of the 85-rated Kortez Bay who reopposes now. An Mhi Abu showed plenty of promise when fourth on debut at Leopardstown and it'll be interesting to see if he can build on that fine effort. Out of a dual Group 2 winner, Shamshuddin probably wasn't suited by heavy ground when down the field at Leopardstown in October. A fine second on his penultimate start at Punchestown, he looks capable of making an impact here.
