Permission was given for Eximious (IRE) and Veil Of Shadows (GB) to wear a red hood to post.

In These Shoes (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.

An enquiry was held to consider interference at the end of the back straight involving Way To Amarillo (FR), unplaced, ridden by Harry Davies and Eximious (IRE), placed third, ridden by Ray Dawson.

Davies was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Eximious (IRE) causing Dawson to take a check.

Approximately 1 furlong out, the winner, Behind The Scenes (IRE), lugged right-handed whilst racing greenly, briefly inconveniencing In These Shoes (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Behind The Scenes (IRE).

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching ½ a furlong out involving the winner, Behind The Scenes (IRE), ridden by Jason Watson and Veil Of Shadows (GB), placed second, ridden by William Buick.

The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Behind The Scenes (IRE)’s placing as despite Veil Of Shadows (GB) becoming unbalanced when bumped by Behind The Scenes (IRE), Buick's mount was always held thereafter on the run to the line, before being beaten an increasing half length margin.

The interference was found to be accidental as Veil Of Shadows (GB) lugged slightly right-handed at the same time that Behind The Scenes (IRE) which had been racing greenly having initially hung right-handed, then shifted quickly left-handed away from the whip which resulted in the two runners bumping.

Following the race, Georgia Dobie reported that Bernadine (IRE), unplaced, ran in snatches.
