Permission was given for Anapurna (GB) and Mehdaayih (GB) to wear hoods in the Parade Ring.

Frankellina (GB), Manuela De Vega (IRE), Maqsad (FR), and Tarnawa (IRE), all wore earplugs in the preliminaries, which were then removed at the start.

An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Maqsad (FR), unplaced, ridden by Jim Crowley, interfered with Manuela De Vega (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Bentley, which in turn interfered with MEHDAAYAH, unplaced, ridden by Robert Havlin, which in turn interfered with DELPHINA (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Seamie Heffernan.

Crowley was suspended for 4 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift right-handed without timely and sufficient correction when it had shown a tendency to do so, causing Manuela De Vega (IRE) to be taken off its intended line which, as a consequence, gave MEHDAAYAH a significant bump and caused it to make contact with DELPHINA (IRE) on its outside.

Frankie Dettori, the rider of the winner, Anapurna (GB), was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from 2 furlongs out.

Following the race, Silvestre De Sousa reported that Lavender's Blue (IRE), unplaced, lost action approximately 1 furlong out; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly reveal her to be suffering from thumps.
