Timing is everything! She's had two rides for me and two wins so you can't do better than that. I presume she'll be riding them all now in the ladies' bumpers. We thought we rode her wrong the last day in the north and I thought for a minute we rode her wrong there as well. She actually knew what she was at because she thought they went a bit quick and started to go early, so she let them go a bit and once she pulled her out she said she picked up really well. She's a nice filly and she goes on the ground. I'd say we'll probably try jumping with her now. Noel Meade, trainer

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mis Colleen Murphy, that Miss S. Doyle, rider of Getaway Some Day, had presented herself at scales at 4lbs overweight while weighing out. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that her father had secured the booking to ride this animal and she believed that her weight was in order. John Neilan, trainer of Getaway Some Day, confirmed the riding arrangement and made a case to be considered as an exceptional circumstance. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed Miss S. Doyle to ride Getaway Some Day at 4lbs overweight as they deemed that there was an exceptional circumstance under Rule 198 (vii)(b). Furthermore the Stewards found Miss S. Doyle to be in breach of Rule 195(i) and Rule 198(vii)(a) and imposed a fine of ?150 as this was her first offence in this regard

Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 6th July) may also ride in this race.
