she's a lovely filly. It didn't look a bad race but we thought we had a great chance after the last day and she'd had improved a good bit. We'll more than likely have a crack at the winners bumper at Galway. She likes good ground and probably just got away with it. P J Colville, trainer

The Stewards interviewed Sabrina J. Harty, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Edith Somerville. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that despite her best efforts, she was unable to secure a rider before declaration time. She added that she subsequently booked Miss J.M.Cook for her charge. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was in breach of Rule 195 and reminded her of her future responsibilities in this regard.

An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven yrs old mares only that have not won a *race and are EBF eligible
Weights - 4-y-o 11st 3lb; 5, 6 & 7-y-o 11st 9lb
Riders - Ladies who are Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Ladies who are Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 4th July) may also ride in this race.
