All his form was on slow or soft ground so we thought the ground might be too quick. He was slowly away but got a good position. I probably got there too soon, he didn't do a whole pile in front but he is nice and done it well. Hopefully now he can step forward now having proven himself on that ground.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rathbranchurch, trained by Michael Mulvany, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, M.W Hassett, rider of Anann, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran around under pressure
The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of The Snapper, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R. P. Whelan stated that he was aware he was in breach of the whip rules and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that R.P.Whelan was in breach of R10.3(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended R.P. Whelan for three racedays.
An extended handicap for three years old only rated 50-85
