The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Alabama Pearl, ridden by B.M. Coen, Hasten Slowly, ridden by C.T. Keane, and Parana Delta (GB), ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, where it appeared that there was movement of horses when Parana Delta (GB) challenged between them. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
S. Foley, rider of Love Mocha (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never faced the blinkers
L.T. McAteer, rider of Finsceal Go Deo, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel about one furlong from the finish
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Rumbled Again, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked right when he took the lead about one and a half furlongs from the finish
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Parana Delta (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel about one and a half furlongs from the finish
J.A. Powell, rider of Louis Le Broc, trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount clipped a heel about one and a half furlongs from the finish
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident just over one furlong from the finish involving Finsceal Go Deo, ridden by L.T. McAteer, and Rumbled Again, ridden by J.M. Sheridan where it appeared that Finsceal Go Deo clipped a heel when Rumbled Again took her racing line having taken the lead. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount clipped the heel of Rumbled Again as he took the lead. J.M
Sheridan stated that he felt that his mount was gone clear of Finsceal Go Deo when it ducked to the rails when the whip was applied. He added that on reviewing the incident that his mount was not clear and prior to this enquiry, he had apologised to L.T. McAteer. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended J.M. Sheridan for seven racedays.
An extended handicap for three years old only rated 47-75
