An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Las Ramblas (GB), ridden by Raul Da Silva, interfered with Waleefy (IRE), placed second, ridden by Adam Farragher.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Las Ramblas (GB) as the colt was always holding Waleefy (IRE) on the run to the line with Waleefy (IRE) appearing to lose no momentum after receiving a slight bump before being beaten by a Head at the line.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Las Ramblas (GB) shifted quickly left-handed before being swiftly corrected by Da Silva giving a slight bump to Waleefy (IRE).
Following the race, Billy Loughnane reported that Tournelle (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished unplaced, ran too free.
