He's tough, he's a Shantou and they keep battling,. He gave him a great ride and he stuck at it. He had good runs and we always said he was a good horse. He got a knocked a little when we schooled him and we just had to take our time with him. He had a good run in Gowran the first day behind a Grade 1 horse. I think he'll be grand. He has a little mark on him, but he's grand. If he's not sold sure it's grand to get a day out with one too. We loaded up whoever was around in the hotel at 4.30am and came on here. The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Captain's Pick, ridden by Mr R. James, placed second, and Minella Mate, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed first, where it both horses rolled around under pressure and came together after it appeared that Captain's Pick drifted left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 15th June) may also ride in this race.
