Shortly after the start, Estefan (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed, inconveniencing Birkie Girl (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong after the start involving the winner, Little Prayer (IRE), ridden by Hayley Turner; Estefan (GB), unplaced, ridden by Ross Coakley; Clipsham Gold (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds; CHANSON D’AMOUR, placed third, ridden by Paul Mulrennan; SANDIE’S DREAM, unplaced, ridden by Daniel Muscutt and Isobel Moore (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill.

It was acknowledged by the Stewards that in the lead-up to this incident, Estefan (GB) had hung right-handed independently away from Little Prayer (IRE) despite Coakley's attempts to straighten the filly, which resulted in it making contact with Clipsham Gold (IRE), in turn causing that runner to shift right and crowd both Isobel Moore (GB) and Sandie's Dream (GB) for racing room and in turn bump the hindquarters of Chanson D'amour (GB), causing that filly to become unbalanced.

However, a short distance later Turner had allowed her mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear of Estefan (GB), causing Coakley to check his mount in order to avoid her heels and as a result had carried Clipsham Gold (IRE) right onto Isobel Moore (GB) which had to be severely checked and stumbled when clipping heels, which in turn caused Sandie's Dream (GB) to be badly hampered when turned sideways.

After due consideration of all the aggravating and mitigating circumstances involved in this incident, Turner was suspended for 4 days for careless riding, in that by drifting right-handed when not clear of the runners to her outside in a tightly packed field, she had caused interference to Estefan (GB) and furthermore exacerbated the extent of the interference already being suffered by both Sandie's Dream (GB) and Isobel Moore (GB).
