Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had put his mount into a canter before the race was started and apologised for his actions. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that N.T. Prendergast was in breach of Rule 208 (iii)(b) and having considered his record they suspended him for one raceday.
