The Starter reported that Noble Patron (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 16.

Simon & Ed Crisford were informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Jeremiah Johnson (IRE), ridden by Callum Shepherd and trained by Simon Dow, which raced in rear and appeared to be tenderly handled throughout to finish last of the eleven runners, beaten 31½ lengths.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The rider explained that the colt was keen to post and he was therefore eager to get him dropped in throughout the early stages of the race.
He added that he became outpaced from half way, at which point the colt started hanging left down the hill.
Shepherd further added that due to the colt hanging, he felt that he was unable to ride out as vigorously in the latter stages as he would have wanted.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Barn Owl (GB), unplaced, lost its right hind shoe.
