FormscanBy John O'Riordan - CALAZURE shaped well enough when fourth at Downpatrick in April to suggest a race of this nature is within his grasp. The Noel Meade-trained gelding stepped up significantly on his two previous starts and if he can find further improvement then he will take plenty of beating in this ordinary contest. Jimmy Boy has the highest official rating of those to have attained a mark but looks vulnerable to a lighter raced rival. Having said that, his experience could count for plenty in a race where few have any really solid form. Be Fierce could get involved if a first-time tongue tie has the desired effect. The Ted Walsh-trained gelding ran well when fourth at Kilbeggan recently.
