FormscanBy John O'Riordan - VINTAGE GOLD is one of the more interesting contenders given his lightly raced profile with the possibility of more to come on this handicap debut. Highland Reel has done well with his National Hunt horses in recent seasons and this four-year-old son of the Coolmore stallion has already shown ability on the flat. While the John Joseph Murphy-trained gelding will need to step up significantly on three moderate runs in maidens, this is more his level. Maggie Walsh is now just 1lb higher than when winning at Fairyhouse in January, so holds obvious claims under leading conditional Cian Quirke. Cracklinrose has yet to win from 10 starts but is a largely consistent mare who will eventually get her turn.
