FormscanBy Tom Weekes - NEWFOUNDLAND met trouble in-running here in May and competes at this distance for the first time. A brother to Oaks winner Snowfall and out of a half-sister to Found, his form is largely unexciting and finished mid-pack in a 1m4f Royal Ascot handicap last year but hinted in May that staying distances could be forte. Extensio won the Ladies Derby last year and having run well over a slightly shorter distance last month, should compete under a light weight. Grappo Nonino is a proven stayer who was raised 5lb for winning at Killarney and is 3lb out of the handicap. Immelmann debuts for Willie Mullins following a long layoff and while he failed to sell at 75,000gns two days after his last run in 2021, now steps up in distance with Gary Carroll being a positive booking. Marvelosa also steps up in distance and is in form while Almuhit ran well in a recent course handicap and competes from the same mark. Dartan could benefit from his recent reappearance run.
