FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ABOVE THE CURVE won a Group 2 at Saint-Cloud on May 28 and Ryan Moore rides in preference to Never Ending Story. She was undercooked when beaten by Insinuendo and Trevaunance on May reappearance but holds Insinuendo on October Longchamp form, is physically powerful and could be better aged four. Rosscarbery was disqualified for carrying the wrong weight in last year's renewal and while subsequently second over this distance in a Deauville Group 1 in August, might find the selection too strong. Via Sistina is high-class but her 115 rating could flatter her. She was raised to that perch with an easy Group 2 win on soft ground in May but previous form was below that level and will be properly tested on drier ground today. Recent Ascot withdrawal Comhra was placed in the 1,000 Guineas but tries this distance for the first time against top, seasoned rivals. Never Ending Story finished second in the French Oaks over a similar distance on June 18.
