Permission was given for Hang Up (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Liberated Lad (GB), compared with its previous run at Catterick on 29 September 2021 where the gelding finished seventh of eight runners, beaten by 15 ¾ lengths was considered.
The representative of Ian Williams explained that Liberated Lad (GB) had not been suited by the ground at Catterick on its previous run, which was officially described as Good to Soft, Soft in places on its previous run, which in his opinion, was riding tacky.
His explanation was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
