The winner Scottish Summit (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Chester on 13 September 2019, where the gelding finished tenth of twelve runners beaten 10 lengths.
Geoff Harker’s explanation that Scottish Summit (IRE) had appreciated the step up in trip to 1 mile and 2 furlongs was noted.
Scottish Summit (IRE) was routine tested.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 1 furlong out when Jamih (GB), placed eighth, ridden by Tom Eaves interfered with Awake My Soul (IRE), unplaced, ridden by James Sullivan, and Takumi (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by David Egan.
Eaves was cautioned for careless riding as he edged slightly right-handed for a run which caused Awake My Soul (IRE) to be briefly crowded for room and Takumi (IRE) to be taken marginally off its intended line.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Brassica (IRE), placed fifth, ran flat.
