The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cozy Sky (USA), trained by Gordon Elliott, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i)
The Stewards requested a report from K.J. Condon, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Man Of The Sea, placed first, as compared with its recent run. Michael McLoughlin, Authorised representative of K.J. Condon reported that their change had plenty of ability but had failed to run to his best despite the application of different types of headgear. Today he was running in his first handicap having raced recently in claiming races. In their opinion running over the minimum distance of five furlongs in a weak class of contest were contributing factors to the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report
