Permission was given for Fountain Cross (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
Leaving the stalls, Fountain Cross (GB), placed fifth, jumped right-handed, leaving Youth Spirit (IRE), placed third, short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the home bend involving the winner, Battleground (USA), ridden by Ryan Moore; Dark Lion (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by David Egan and Kraken Power (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Tudhope.
The interference was found to be accidental as Battleground (USA) had drifted marginally right-handed rounding the bend, shifting Dark Lion (IRE) slightly off its intended line which resulted in Tudhope having to take a check.
